What is drain jetting used for?

We use both hot and cold water jetters with pressures reaching 3000 psi and temperatures of 85 degrees Celsius.

Blocked Drains

Blocked drains are the most common problems that occur within the sewage network. Blockages are caused by grease or scale build up, root intrusion, structural issues such as offset or open joints, or by wipes or generally just too much paper. Other foreign objects such as dolls, tennis balls and toilet fresheners have also been found to block drains.

Our engineers are trained to establish if a blocked drain is thought to be a one-off occurrence or an issue that may continue to cause future problems. We aim to not only clear the blockage and restore full flow but also to let the customer know as much about what we have found as possible. We seek to solve problems, rather than continue to come and go charging each time the drain needs clearing.

If a blocked drain keeps returning or the engineers on site feel that a problem is present, we can carry out a CCTV survey to establish the structural condition so that cost-effective recommendations can be given to resolve the situation.

Cleaning

If a drain has a build-up of grease, scale or debris, high pressure jetting can be carried out to clean the pipe, restoring it to its full flow capacity. Many different nozzles can be used depending on the pipe diameter and type of waste.
